How to browse the CD-ROM

After browser software has been obtained and configured, using the browser to access the CD-ROM is straightforward:

  1. Place the CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive. Close the drawer to make it ready.
  2. Start the browser application (e.g., by double-clicking on the icon).
  3. Select the Open File item from the File menu on the browser. Select file index.htm in the CD-ROM folder. The next section describes how to make the file selection on various computers.
  4. The screen will display a page of information that includes links to other pages. Click on any link to follow a pointer to another page of information exactly as when browsing the World Wide Web.
